Site Guidelines
✅ Do's - Write Helpful Reviews
- Be honest and constructive: Share your genuine experience to help fellow students make informed decisions.
- Focus on teaching quality: Comment on teaching style, clarity, helpfulness, and course organization.
- Provide context: Mention the course, semester, and academic year for relevance.
- Be specific: Use examples to illustrate your points (e.g., "Professor explained complex topics with real-world examples").
- Maintain balance: Mention both strengths and areas for improvement.
- Proof-read: Check your review for clarity and errors before submitting.
- Respect anonymity: Use anonymous posting if you prefer privacy.
❌ Don'ts - Prohibited Content
- No profanity or vulgar language: Reviews with offensive language will be removed immediately.
- No personal attacks: Focus on professional teaching abilities, not personal characteristics.
- No comments on appearance: Comments about physical appearance or personal life are strictly prohibited.
- No bias claims: Don't claim the professor shows bias or favoritism based on caste, religion, gender, or any other factor.
- No hate speech or discrimination: Content that discriminates based on caste, religion, gender, region, or any protected characteristic will result in immediate account suspension.
- No fake reviews: Reviews must be based on actual classroom experience. Fake reviews will lead to account termination.
- No spam or promotional content: Don't use reviews for advertising or promoting other services.
- No personal information: Don't share personal contact information (yours or the professor's).
- No revenge reviews: Reviews written out of personal vendetta will be removed.

⚠️ Content Moderation
- • All reviews are checked by AI-powered content filters for profanity, spam, and quality.
- • Flagged reviews are manually reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours.
- • Community members can flag inappropriate reviews.
- • First violation: Warning and content removal.
- • Repeated violations: Temporary suspension (7-30 days).
- • Severe violations: Permanent account ban.
- • You can appeal moderation decisions within 7 days.
🔒 Privacy & Anonymity
- • College reviews are always anonymous - your identity is never revealed publicly.
- • Professor reviews can be anonymous or public (your choice).
- • Your name will never be publicly displayed on anonymous reviews.
- • Administrators can see review authors for moderation purposes only.
- • You can choose to post publicly under your account name if you prefer (professor reviews only).
- • Anonymous reviews have the same weight as public reviews.
- • Your voting history (helpful/not helpful) is kept private.
- • Flag reports are confidential - only admins can see who flagged a review.
👍 Voting and Engagement
- • Vote honestly: Mark reviews as "helpful" if they provide useful, accurate information.
- • Vote "not helpful" if a review is vague, off-topic, or unhelpful.
- • Don't manipulate votes: Creating fake accounts or coordinating vote manipulation will result in a ban.
- • One vote per review: You can change your vote, but only have one active vote at a time.
- • Voting is anonymous: Others can't see how you voted.
- • Help surface quality content: Your votes help other students find the best reviews.
🚩 Flagging Inappropriate Reviews
- • Use the Flag button to report reviews that violate our guidelines.
- • Flag types: Spam, Fake Review, Offensive Content, Other.
- • Provide context: Explain why you're flagging the review (optional but helpful).
- • Don't abuse flagging: Only flag genuine violations. Frivolous flagging may result in restrictions.
- • Flagging is confidential: The review author won't know who flagged their review.
- • Moderation timeline: Flagged reviews are reviewed by admins within 24-48 hours.
- • Appeals: If your review is removed, you can appeal the decision.
🏫 College Reviews Guidelines
- • Rate honestly across all categories: Food, Internet, Clubs, Opportunities, Facilities, Teaching, Overall.
- • Provide your context: Include your course, year of study, and graduation year.
- • Be comprehensive: Comment on multiple aspects of college life to help prospective students.
- • Update periodically: Colleges change over time - consider updating your review after graduation.
- • Focus on facts: Describe actual experiences, not rumors or hearsay.
- • One review per college: You can only submit one review per college (you can edit it later).
- • All college reviews are anonymous: Your identity is never revealed publicly for college reviews.
Rate Limits and Anti-Abuse
To maintain platform quality and prevent abuse, we enforce the following limits:
- • Reviews: Maximum 5 professor reviews and 1 college review per 24 hours.
- • Votes: No limit on voting, but suspicious patterns are monitored.
- • Flags: Maximum 10 flags per 24 hours (to prevent flag abuse).
- • Account creation: One account per person - multiple accounts may be banned.
- • API access: Rate limited to prevent scraping and automated abuse.

We are an intermediary under Section 79 of the IT Act 2000. User-generated content does not represent our views. We moderate content in good faith but cannot guarantee the accuracy of all reviews.
